Unlocking cultures: Heritage Fair 2026

Inspired by Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.” and set at “Monsters University,” this year’s Heritage Fair transformed the stage into a celebration of culture, ranging from traditional Indian dances to K-pop group performances.
Heritage Fair, a Carlmont tradition, is an assembly where many cultural clubs across campus get to showcase their heritage through performances.
No Kings Day: Millions protest against Trump policies

In San Francisco, protesters from across the city gathered under the banner “No Kings” to call out government corruption, defend human rights, and demand a return to accountability and democratic values.
Among them were Liz Isaacs and Kate Aks, who helped form a human banner stretching across Ocean Beach that spelled out the protest’s defining message: No Kings.
Carlmont students protest ICE in walkout
January 31, 2026
On Friday, Jan. 30, Carlmont students walked out of school in a protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), in solidarity with nearby schools. Students met after lunch in front of the Performing Arts Center (PAC) to march from Alameda de las Pulgas to the Belmont Caltrain Station and Belmont City Hall in opposition to ICE and in support of the general strike in Minneapolis.
